He Is Home.

I was an anxious wreck most of the day.  I did my very best to perform business as usual while eagerly awaiting the “all clear” from George.  My stuff, my dogs, and my husband are safely tucked away in our 450 square foot palace of New York City dreams.

I can exhale.

George sounds exhausted and happy.

Our apartment, which I have never seen, is on the fourth floor of a walk-up.  And, by “walk-up”, I mean NO ELEVATOR.  And by “no elevator”, I mean holy shit.  Butt, you betta get ready!  (Sometimes I find it necessary to talk to my butt.)

With the help of “A Man With a Van” (or something of the like), George dodged rain and hauled boxes up four flights of steep stairs into our new home.  Our Upper East Side abode.

Doesn’t. That. Sound. Awesome?

George sent a few videos of our sprawling shoe box, complete with wiener dog cameos.  (I hope to have some photos to post tomorrow.)  My heart is happy.  Thinking of my family snuggled on an air mattress in a home I already know I love, makes me feel pretty invincible.

I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight.

I feel like I know Mary Tyler Moore or something, “You’re Gonna Make It After All!” Can’t wait to hear the rest of the story.

You must be so excited! And so anxious to just get there already. I'm really happy for you…and your butt, which is gonna be amazing!
