R.I.P. Pink P.I.G.

by Jen on October 15, 2009

It was a sad, sad day. Pink Pig, who has been with us since Millie’s very first litter of puppies, took his last breath today.

He was born in 2005 and lived a very full, very satisfying life. He served as a companion to Millie’s first and second litter of puppies, served as comfort to Oscar when he left the nest, welcomed Ramona into our home with open arms, and has been an acting ombudsperson ever since Mona has started bullying Oscar.

Rest in peace, buddy. You will be missed.

Oscar, Ramona, and Millie share a few respects at Pink Pig’s funeral.

Penny is going to be devastated! Pink Pig's demise started with his head-flower long ago. Remember how the girls would walk around the house looking paranoid and guarded?! With that little flower stuck up on their lips?! lol

How cute! Faith has a pink pig that is just as near and dear to her heart and we are sure to have a ceremony if her life ends. She eats, goes to the bathroom and shares Faith's clothes. She has been adopted into this family and I don't even want to have to face the day she goes missing or the life comes out of her as yours did. I understand the loss!

It was a sad, sad day. :-) As far as dogs are concerned, mine are pretty kind to their toys, so when one loses it's guts (especially one with such history!) we lose it around here. ;-) Faith is so funny to me. It's like she's living her own reality show. Truly, she just needs a 24/7 camera crew! :-)
